Terms of Use
Last updated: July 26, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Dogsittr covering your use of the Dogsittr iOS app and any related services (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The service
Dogsittr is a business management tool for independent dog sitters, dog walkers, and pet care professionals. It helps you keep a client roster, record bookings, raise and track invoices, estimate tax, and draft daily update messages for pet owners.
Dogsittr is not a marketplace. We do not find you clients, employ you, introduce you to pet owners, take a commission on your bookings, or process payments between you and your clients. Your relationship with your clients is entirely your own.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the App. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@dogsittr.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Your data and your clients
The business records you create in Dogsittr — your clients, their dogs, bookings, invoices and notes — belong to you. We claim no ownership of them and use them only to operate the App, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Because that information includes personal details about other people, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and store it, for handling it in line with any privacy laws that apply to you, and for the accuracy of what you enter. Do not upload information you are not entitled to hold.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for anything unlawful, deceptive, or harmful.
- Attempt to access another user's account or data.
- Probe, scan, reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the App or our servers, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App or make it available to third parties as a service.
- Use automated means to overload our systems, or abuse the AI update feature to generate content unrelated to pet care updates.
5. Subscriptions and billing
Dogsittr is free to use with up to 5 clients. Every other feature in the free plan — bookings, invoices, payment requests, analytics, the tax estimator, calendar import, and AI updates — is included at no cost.
Dogsittr Premium is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks unlimited clients. It costs $4.99 per month in the United States; prices may vary by region.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings. Deleting the App does not by itself cancel a subscription.
- Any unused portion of a free trial, if one is offered, is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
All purchases are handled by Apple. Refunds are governed by Apple's policies, and requests must be made to Apple rather than to us.
6. AI-generated updates
The daily update feature drafts a message using an AI model, based on the activities and mood you select and any notes you add. The output is a draft for you to review. AI can produce wording that is inaccurate, inappropriate for the situation, or not what you intended.
You are responsible for reading each message before you send it and for everything you send to your clients. Do not rely on the feature to convey urgent, medical, or safety-critical information about an animal.
7. Tax estimates and financial figures
The tax estimator produces a rough estimate only. It assumes a single filer who is self-employed and taking the standard deduction, uses approximate state figures, and cannot account for your full circumstances. Revenue and analytics figures reflect only what you have entered into the App.
None of this is tax, accounting, legal, or financial advice. Consult a qualified professional before making decisions or filing returns.
8. Third-party services
The App can optionally import a booking calendar from a platform such as Rover or Wag using an iCal URL that you supply. This is a read-only convenience feature. Dogsittr is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Rover, Wag, or any other platform, and those names are the trademarks of their respective owners. We are not responsible for the accuracy or availability of data those services provide, and your use of them remains subject to their own terms.
The App also relies on third-party infrastructure, including Supabase for data storage and Anthropic for AI generation, as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Intellectual property
The App, its design, and its content — excluding the business records you enter — are owned by Dogsittr and protected by intellectual property law. Subject to these Terms, you get a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time and can permanently delete your account and all associated data from More → Profile → Delete Account. That deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or use the App in a way that risks harm to other users or to the service. We may also discontinue the App; if we do, we will make reasonable efforts to give notice so you can export your data.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of records that matter to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dogsittr will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business, or lost data, arising out of or relating to your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty-five US dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Apple-required terms
These Terms are between you and Dogsittr only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. You acknowledge that:
- Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for the App.
- If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or discharging any third-party claim that the App infringes intellectual property rights.
- You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the App, and you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the App after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence says otherwise.
